A Different Perspective on Sanitary

For more than 25 years I have looked at the bathroom the way a designer does: as a space where proportion, material and light come together. Sanitary is never an afterthought. It is the detail that completes the whole. Working alongside architects and interior designers, I select on their behalf, from Dornbracht, Gessi, Vola, Axor, Cocoon by Piet Boon and Lagoo, and high-end sanitaryware by Globo, Cielo, Antonio Lupi, TeCe, Geberit and Riho, as well as our own S9 collection by Studio Nine. From a grand “Master Bathroom” to an intimate “Powder Room”, every finish, line and detail is chosen for the space it lives in. Each design bathroom is composed to measure.

How I work

I do more than deliver. I stay closely involved from the first drawing to the final soap dispenser, and take care of the sanitary spaces so the designer can focus on the rest of the home and let this part go with confidence. I work hand in hand with the contractor and plumber, and with the other specialists on the project, such as the interior builder and the stonemason. Every detail comes together as one.

Who I work with

I work from the studio of Rolan Cornelissen, alongside architects and interior designers who share an eye for detail. Over the years I have worked with Eric Kuster, Bertram Beerbaum (Kabaz) and Patrick Russ. Together we bring luxury residences and exclusive commercial projects to life, from restaurants and gyms such as Saints & Stars to yachts.

My experience

It started in 1999, on Saturdays in an exclusive bathroom studio, and I never stopped being fascinated. For more than 27 years I have learned what separates a beautiful bathroom from an unforgettable one, proportion, patience and the courage to leave things out. From Amsterdam to Rotterdam, from Groningen to Zeeland, in Antwerp, and further afield in Marbella, Ibiza, Mallorca, Curaçao, Saint-Tropez, Dubai and Geneva, I have seen how the smallest detail can change the feeling of an entire home. That feeling is what I bring to every project.
